Day 2 : Darjeeling

Early morning visit Tiger Hill to see a beautiful sunrise and Himalayan Range like Kanchandzonga, Mount Everest etc. One can see the horizon changing colors just before sunrise and then the entire Himalayan range turn golden. Breakfast at the hotel and proceed for city tour visiting Himalayan Mountaineering Institute(closed on Thursday) which was started by Tenzing Norgay after he climbed Mt. Everest, Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock, Tea Estate(from outside), Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3 : Darjeeling – Gangtok 127 kms 5 hours approx.

Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Gangtok. At an altitude of 1750m, Gangtok became the state capital in the mid 19th century and has undergone rapid development since then. The downtown area is dominated by huge government buildings decorated with traditional Buddhist symbols. Gangtok is also a resting ground for people traveling to North Sikkim. Surrounded by Monasteries and Orchids, Gangtok is truly a travelers delight. Overnight at hotel

Day 4 : Gangtok

Later proceed for full day sightseeing in Gangtok visiting Tashi View Point, Flower Show, Handicraft, Institute of Tibetology, Do Drul Chorten, Bakthang Falls and Hanuman Tok. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5 : Gangtok

After breakfast proceed for a day trip to Tsomgo Lake. Also known as Changu Lake, this glacial lake is a popular tourist attraction and is located on the road towards the Nathu La pass. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings here. The next visit is Baba Mandir. This shrine is built in the memory of a brave Indian soldier, Harbhajan Singh who died during the war near the Nathu La Pass. The Mandir worships no specific religion, but inspires its visitors to become selfless. For the day you have an optional tour to Nathula Pass (Alt 14000Ft.) on China Border can also be arranged (Except Mon, Tue) for Indian Nationals id guest only at an additional cost.

The Supplement cost for Nathu La will be Rs. 5,500/- NOT INCLUDED IN ANY OF THE ABOVE MENTION COST (this cost includes vehicle and permits). By evening return to Gangtok, you are free to shop in M.G Road (Mall Road) or other local markets. Stay overnight in hotel. Optional tour to Nathula Pass (Alt 14000Ft.) on China Border can also be arranged (Except Mon, Tue) for Indian Nationals only at an additional cost.

Day 6 : Gangtok – Bagdogra/NJP 125 kms 4 hours approx.

Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Bagdogra/NJP in time for flight/train to onward destination.
